A closer look at Baroque Pearl Collection, one of three finalists in the 2021 GRAY Awards Fashion Design category.
Baroque Pearl Collection
Crafted by jewelry designer Leslie Page Smith, the Baroque Pearl Collection is made with 14-karat yellow gold, extra large 16mm baroque pearls, and natural diamonds. Each piece is hand carved in wax, then cast and set. In this unique design, the bezels do not actually hold the pearl. Instead, the pearl is suspended in the bezel and held in place with a pin. The goal with the Baroque Pearl Collection is to present the classic pairing of gold and pearls in a new, more contemporary fashion.
