Henry Singer’s new flagship store is more than just a retail space; it’s a homage to an 85-year legacy, boldly embracing the brand's future. To complement this standard, Bar Henry was introduced as a culinary extension, embodying the brand’s dedication to connoisseurship and opulence. Inspired by European luxury, every detail of the small space was meticulously crafted to mirror Henry Singer’s values of quality, craftsmanship, and exquisite taste.

Dimly lit bar with backlit shelves holding various liquor bottles and glasses. Espresso machine on the counter, warm wood tones.

The primary challenge lay in the compact dimensions of the venue. However, far from hindering creativity, this limitation sparked innovation. The design team focused on maximizing functionality and luxury, ingeniously utilizing every inch of the space despite its constraints, which included floor-level changes and existing structural walls. Careful consideration was given to traffic flow and the strategic placement of essential elements, ensuring a seamless and inviting environment for guests.

Bar Henry caters exclusively to a select group of under 30 guests, offering a curated menu that balances variety and quality within the confines of its equipment capabilities. A signature espresso blend and a meticulously chosen selection of top-notch wines complement the culinary offerings, enhancing the overall experience of exclusivity and sophistication.

The design concept draws inspiration from the elegance of cigar boxes and the clean lines of Italian Modernism. Rich burled walnut contrasts with sleek chrome accents, while bespoke furnishings throughout—ranging from dining sets to barstools—exude a sense of bespoke luxury. Each area, whether the dining space, kitchen, bar/café, or wait-list area, seamlessly integrates into the cohesive aesthetic, reinforcing the Henry Singer brand identity.

Despite its size, Bar Henry plays a pivotal role in the success of the Henry Singer flagship design. It serves not only as a culinary destination but as a testament to the brand’s commitment to offering an all-encompassing luxury experience. By carefully balancing intimacy with sophistication, Bar Henry exceeds the expectations set by the Henry Singer legacy.

Bar Henry epitomizes the synergy between heritage and innovation that defines the Henry Singer brand. It stands as a testament to the brand’s ability to adapt to contemporary tastes while upholding its timeless commitment to luxury and excellence. With its thoughtfully designed space and meticulously curated offerings, Bar Henry invites guests to indulge in a unique blend of culinary artistry and refined ambiance, making it an integral part of the Henry Singer flagship experience.
