Molteni&C | Dada Sets Up a Mansion-Inspired Shop in Vancouver

The Italian home furnishings brand nabs the top floor inside Livingspace’s freshly renovated 30,000-square-foot showroom.

Last month, the Giussano, Italy-based Molteni Group, whose portfolio includes luxury home and office furnishings brands such as Molteni&C, Dada, Unifor, and Citterio, expanded its Canadian presence, opening a Molteni&C | Dada showroom in Vancouver’s Armoury District. The shop-in-shop, which clocks in at more than 3,200 square feet, shares space with Vancouver-based modern home goods purveyor Livingspace, whose showroom in a historic 1930s-era building now totals 30,000 square feet, thanks to a recent $2 million expansion and renovation. The new Molteni&C | Dada shop is perched on Livingspace’s newly added fifth floor, along with a garden courtyard.

Channeling the architecture of a family mansion, the Molteni shop-in-shop has been divided into room-like vignettes that provide a more intimate browsing experience. Each room flows into the next and houses its collection of kitchen, furniture, and closet design systems (shown in a variety of finishes and configurations) from the likes of Belgian designer and Molteni&C creative director Vincent Van Duysen, Gio Ponti, Rodolfo Dordoni, Ron Gilad, Francesco Meda, Dante Bonuccelli, and Nicola Gallizia.
