GDUSA’s American Inhouse Design Awards™ is a showcase for outstanding work done by inhouse designers and departments. In 2018, more than 5,000 entries were submitted, the top 15% were recognized as winners. The winning pieces are winnowed from thousands of entries, and represent every area of the country, every size organization, every segment of the public and private sectors, and every type of media currently known. Individually and collectively, they demonstrate that the best of inhouse design is about creating solutions and adding value to our commerce and our culture.

GRAY Awards — which recognizes excellence in the fields of architecture, interiors, landscape, product design, and fashion — would culminate in a game-changing celebration that would turn a typical awards gala on its head. For it's 2017 inaugural event, this needed to be evident from the start. The campaign featured an overly competitive designer in a tongue-in-cheek designer dress code of all black, with stereotype architect's black-rimmed glasses, and a level of sass on par with GRAY's own.
