GRAY Loves: Brian Paquette x Natasha Alphonse Ceramics Collection

by GRAY Editors

Seattle interior designer Brian Paquette has teamed up with Seattle ceramicist and multidisciplinary artist Natasha Alphonse on a line of functional dinnerware and serveware inspired by what Paquette uses in his own home. The handmade, wheel-thrown pieces, including a full dinnerware set with two plates and a soup bowl, a large bowl, cups, a salt cellar, a crock and a shallow bowl, were crafted using dark brown stoneware clay and feature deep blue glazes with an outer hand-painted white “lichen glaze,” which gives each item its crackled pattern.

Ceramic work and I have a long past,” Paquette said in a press release. “It is truly my favorite art form, and I have so much respect for both the form and its makers. I had to take Ceramics One in art school three times before passing, so I deeply appreciate the art form and talent that go into it.”
