GRAY, IDS Vancouver, and a show floor filled with exhibitors return to the Vancouver Convention Centre West this fall. Centered around the theme New Futures, designers flock to the city to celebrate and network and gain new ideas and resources.

Keynotes and Conversations

Transformative change for both people and the planet is occurring at a rapid pace right now. More than ever, design thinking and insightful expertise are needed to push new realities forward by reimagining and reforming how we live, work, and create. Thought-leaders with local and global perspectives tackle the future of design on the Caesarstone and GRAY stages. During the IDS Conference, CEU-accredited programming features sessions including "Building the Design Business" and "Big Ideas."

GRAY is bringing our popular In the Design Lounge with host Brandon Gaston to the GRAY Stage for special episodes with guest designers. Talks include: Why the Design World Should Not be Afraid of the Metaverse (Jordan Kallman), When to Trust That You’ve Reached the Tipping Point (Michelle Dirkse), and Reconnecting with Karin Bohn. Plus, guest host Julia Dilworth, author of West Coast North moderates a conversation with designers featured in her book (Ben Leavitt, Kate Snyder, Sean Pearson, and Kyla Bidgood). GRAY will also present the winner of IDS Vancouver's Prototype competition on Saturday, and open up the GRAY Stage to GRAY Labs featuring demonstrations by guest designers and makers throughout the day on Sunday.

Exhibitors are bringing out their best products and innovations to share what's new and a coming soon, The District will satiate your design shopping appetite, Studio North is a wonderful curation of custom, limited-edition pieces, Collect is a showcase of stunning art, and Prototype features the juried work of emerging designs (join us on the GRAY Stage for the awards presentation). Plus, this year's LIV Design Student Challenge is focused on hybrid workspace design.
