The Swedish brand brings its luxury beds to Wallingford’s new Bedrooms & More location.
HÄSTENS, THE KÖPING, SWEDEN-BASED MANUFACTURER OF LUXURY, BEDS, MATTRESSES, AND BEDDING—ALL MADE FROM NATURAL MATERIALS SUCH AS COTTON, HORSEHAIR, AND WOOL—NOW HAS A BRICK-AND-MORTAR PRESENCE IN SEATTLE. The 166-year-old brand opened a 1,100-square-foot shop-in-shop on the fourth floor of the new Bedrooms & More location in Wallingford. The 23,000-square-foot building, designed by Seattle’s Stuart Silk Architects, features five floors of retail space, floor-to-ceiling windows, and solid acacia wood floors.
The Hastens boutique will showcase several of its beds, including the 2000T, Lenoria, Eala, Herlewing, and Maranga.
“It’s important to match quality craftsmanship with superior service. Hästens has built a reputation for building some of the best mattresses in the world,” Blake Garfield, general manager and primary product developer at Bedrooms & More, told GRAY in an email. “It’s only fitting that they are displayed in the mattress store known for having the best service.”
